My name is Annalisa, I always lived with animals of all kinds and I have always loved drawing them. Over the years, with a lot of practice, I learned how to use different techniques: coloured and graphite pencils, pastel crayons, ballpoint pens, acrylic paint, watercolours and charcoal, but among these I undoubtedly prefer pencils.

In my drawings I want to represent the beauty of animals in every single detail, my goal is to make them seem almost "real", as if they can suddenly jump out of the picture and I really hope to succeed in this!

Giving a realistic effect to the fur of animals usually takes me 6 -13 hours of work for each subject (depending on the size of the drawing).

I sit there calmly and very patiently, and draw every single hair. Ok, maybe I'm obsessed with this, but I want my works to make a good final impression.

You can see some of my works in time-lapse on my YouTube channel "Annalisa Secoli Art".

The subjects I prefer portraying are birds and in particular parrots, since I love them very much.

In 2017 I decided to enroll at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cuneo (Italy), to improve my drawing techniques even more.

In the future I want to make more and more detailed and realistic drawings: the artistic movement that inspires me is photo-realism or hyper-realism.
